The "Turkish Banking Sector Main Indicators," prepared quarterly by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) and published on our website, shares key data on the sector's financial structure, asset and liability composition, capital adequacy, profitability performance, liquidity status, and risk indicators with the public, categorized by ownership groups and functional groups.
This publication has been prepared regularly and periodically since 2012 to enable the monitoring of the Turkish banking sector through up-to-date and comparable data, to strengthen data transparency, and to support stakeholders' decision-making processes with reliable information; it is published in Turkish and English in line with the principles of transparency and accessibility.
The indicators included in the report are created based on financial data obtained within the framework of regular reporting and information disclosed to the public, while observing the principles of data integrity, consistency, and comparability. In this respect, the publication aims to strengthen accessibility and analyzability of information by facilitating the evaluation of financial data disclosed to the public in a holistic framework through graphical and comparative presentations.
In line with the principles of accountability and institutional transparency, BDDK continues to share regular and accessible data in order to strengthen stability and support data-driven policy-making processes.
